XFree86 and Interrupts

All,
I have a machine running Debian Stable (Sarge) on kernel 2.6.8.  When it
has XFree86 version 4.3.0.1.  When I boot up, GDM automatically starts
and right when it goes to the login screen, I get a console beep.  My
networking shuts down and at every console I get the following message:

IRQ #10 is my ethernet controller.  Here is /var/log/messages for the
appropriate time.  It looks like my AGP Bus is causing this, but I just
had an older version of Debian on it (2.4 kernel) and everything worked
just fine.  I can restart networking and it works, but everytime i
switch to X (Ctl-Alt-F7) it stops.  Any ideas before I download Kernel
sources and compile my own?
