Windows Applications In Linux
Greetings,
I was wondering if anyone had any success in being able to run windows
applications in Linux. I have read that there are a few programs that allow
this, but being a newbie, and I have little clue as to which to select, where
to get it, and how to install/configure it. I would appreciate any help
anyone can provide. The types of applications I am wanting to run are Games,
and a few non-game applications. So whatever emulator you sudgest, I think,
should need to be able to support direct-x. If it helps my system is a duel
boot, that can boot into Linux-Mandrake 7.2, or Windows 98. Linux can browse,
modify some files, in the windows partition.
On a side note. If something like this can be well configured for Linux,
Linux would probobly get more people to use it since people would not be
giving up loved applications and games that are ported only to windows. This
is what is holding me back from using only Linux, and what is probobly
holding othrs back as well. Just my thoughts. =)
