Hmmmm... so, if I have an old (classic!) Pentium, then I need just the i386
directory?
Or do I go to the i386, i486, i586 and noarch directories and grab them all?
(i.e., you always grab noarch and then start with 386 and go up to the processor
that you have). Hope that made sense!! 8-)
Along the same lines, then if I had a Pentium-II, I'd also want to grab the ones
in the i686 directory?

Yes. (Actually, I was going to send a mail to say just that, but I
got pulled away. :)
Just grab everything in
ftp://ftp.silug.org/pub/redhat/updates/7.0/i386/
and do "rpm -Fvh *.rpm". (You might also want to check the other i?86
directories and the noarch directory for other updates while you are
at it.)
