VNC Question

Okay, I've been fighting with VNC to try to get it running.  According to
the docs, I should just run the perl script vncserver, then it should be
working.  But, when I do that, it runs, and then dies.  I haven't seen any
major bad errors or core dumps.  ???  What's goin on?
