Some Updates...
I guess that someone's found a denial of service attack on RedHat's ftpd
that's caused by glibc from v5.0. They've got updates for glibc 2.0.7 on
their site, so ya might want to grab those. You can find them here:
o glibc
(ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/updates/5.0/i386/glibc-2.0.7-7.i386.rpm)
o glibc-debug
(ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/updates/5.0/i386/glibc-debug-2.0.7-7.i386.rpm)
o glibc-devel
(ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/updates/5.0/i386/glibc-devel-2.0.7-7.i386.rpm)
o glibc-profile
(ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/updates/5.0/i386/glibc-profile-2.0.7-7.i386.rpm)
Also, the organization that makes blender, a 3D modeling and rendering
tool for IRIX, has released a free version of blender for Linux. I am
having trouble setting it up, though. You can get it at
http://www.neogeo.nl/blender.html
GIMP 0.99.27 was released over the weekend. You can get the source for it
and GTK 1.0 at ftp.gimp.org, or, ftp.ameth.org/pub/mirrors/ftp.gimp.org/.
Or, you can find RPMs for it at ftp://s9412a.steinan.ntnu.no/pub/gimp/.
I'm seeing a lot of very exciting software coming out for Linux. I'll
keep you updated!
