Stumped: can't ftp
I have two linux boxes: a RedHat 4.0 distribution and an older Slackware (1.8
kernel, I think). They are connected by ethernet. IP's in the 192.168.0.x
range.
I can ftp from the RH box to the Slackware box; but I cannot ftp from the
Slackware to the RH box. I can telnet from the Slackware to the RH box. I
have checked the hosts.allow and hosts.deny files, but see nothing
interesting. I am a little confused by the difference between in.ftpd and
in.tftpd. They seem to both be referenced, but only the in.tftpd exists. I
created a link to create the in.ftpd.
