Ok so this past night I helped a friend get some files off of a hard drive from a laptop that had gotten run over by the family care as they went on vacations, it was about 15 GB of photos and videos, real simple fix as the hard drive was intact and my trusty IDE/SATA to USB was in my bag for the holiday weekend away form school. After getting the files transferred she let me have any parts form the laptop I wanted so I took the hard drive, RAM, and DVD burner. The drive is a Toshiba 250 GB 5400 rpm SATA, the RAM is Samsung SO-DIMM PC2-6400, a 1GB stick and a 2GB stick (3GB total), and the optical drive is a Toshiba/Samsung SATA (6-pin power) DVD writer. These parts seem usable for some fun project, however I would need to drop a bit of cash for a mobo with something like an atom CPU, any ideas of cheap mobo options or other ideas would be appreciated.
