Subject candidate for Wednesday's meeting
I'm sure Steve will have something to talk about on Wednesday. No
fooling. That's our next meeting: April 1.
By happy coincidence he should have the new Fedora 11 Beta release
available the day before:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/11/Schedule
Those who have been paying attention know that this beta release is a
week later than originally scheduled. There were some problems that had
to be resolved first. Some of the new features to look forward to in
this next release:
20 Second Startup
Automated Bug Reporting Tool for non-techies
Default ext4 filesystem (~90% complete)
Fingerprint reader support
Updated K12Linux
Nouveau for NVIDIA
OpenChange for accessing MS Exchange
TigerVNC
Windows Cross-compiler
The beta test period is scheduled to last eight weeks. Final release for
Fedora 11 is now scheduled for May 26.
