Networking Question Please?

My desktop is hard wired to the router. My laptop and server are 
wireless. The Wireless computers will talk to each other (server and 
laptop). The desktop will not connect to the server or laptop. Is it 
necessary to make the desktop wireless to get it networked to the laptop 
and server or is there something I have set wrong in the desktop?
