True and not really at the same time.
Sun does a lot of things non-standard.
But at least the additional jpackage RPM makes it tolerable.

But nVidia's installer runs on Debian without issue. ;-> It runs on
more and more distros everyday, and they're fairly good and dealing
with new issues.
Sun, however, is not IMHO.

Just as any RPM redistributed of the Sun Java package would be.
But nVidia seems more "tolerant" of such repackaging so far.
I agree with you, but I also see the benefits of nVidia's approach
too.
