Agreed.  I haven't run into the FireWire issues on 2.6.x everyone else
has.  But I still don't trust FireWire as much as SCSI or SATA (hotplug)
-- not even on Mac systems.

Hopefull SAS controllers (which can use SATA drives as well as SATA
drives) will address everyone's needs once and for all.
