If you run a Linux/x86-64 kernel/distro, you should have that
already.

There is _no_ 64-bit AGP bus option.  Now there is the I/O
MMU of the A64/Opteron, but that'a nother story.

On a single socket, it's transparent to the OS.
If you go multi-socket, then processor affinity starts
becoming an issue for both program and I/O.

If you're running a Linux/x86-64 kernel, you _have_to_ run
the nVidia x86-64 (AMD64/EM64T) drivers.

If you're running a Linux/x86 kernel, you _have_to_ run the
nVidia x86 drivers.

I think you just did some K7/K8 kernel optimizations on a
Linux/i386 distro and kernel, and didn't actually switch to a
Linux/x86-64 distro/kernel.
