No.

It's not a matter of "shouldn't" with yum. It is more like "can't".
The good news is that you can add those other repositories in yum.conf
(or yum.repos.d/whatever.repo) with enabled=0 and then use
--enablerepo=whatever to turn that repository on for a given yum
invocation.
