gftp time display question
I'm sure there's a logical explanation for this, but right now this
looks like a bug in gftp...
When a download a file from a distant ftp server using gftp, its
date/time is supposed to be set on the receiving system to match that of
the source. Unfortunately what I'm seeing in gftp's local directory
display are their dates/times in GMT. The local offset is not applied to
the local directory view.
For example, if I log onto my big workstation's FTP server using a plain
old command line client and go to the FC3 directory containing the ISOs,
I'll see:
-rw-r--r-- 1 500 500 79908864 Nov 04 09:59 FC3-i386-rescuecd.iso
But when I log onto that same directory using gftp I see the following:
FC3-i386-rescuecd.iso 79,908,864 doc doc Wed Nov 3 21:59:00 2004 -rw-r--r--
The RTCs on both systems are set to GMT, with timezone offsets of
CST6CDT. gftp is displaying raw dates/times referenced to the RTC
without applying the offset.
This is wrong, isn't it?
