Netmasks....

Okay,
  I need to tell a webserver that I want to allow a range of IPs to visit,
based on netmasks, and I don't know what the heck I'm doing.   Let's say that
I want to allow all of 192.168.1.XXX to have access to the webserver, I would
put in this:

192.168.1.1    255.255.255.0

Right?  Wrong?  I don't know, someone please clueX4 me in here...
