Help with X

I am trying to configure X on an IBM Netvista X40.  Here is a link to

I am using RH73 as a base.  The graphical install runs fine but where it
comes to configuring X using anything other that stardard vga 640x480 it
is a no go.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
