Okay... better yet, is anyone out there (other than me) old enough to
remember the worst editor of ALL time: edlin !!!!!

"edlin" was a line editor and the only one that came with MS-DOS.  That is,
until the later (and final) versions of MS-DOS included "edit".

Edlin was sooooooo bad that I can't even describe it.  It was like Bill told
someone, "write the worst editor that you can... just enough functionality
to be called an editor, but don't make it really useful".

Thanks for letting me vent.  I feel better now.

Oh, yeah... just for the record, VI TOTALLY ROCKS!
