Nah, I use Ubuntu from 8.04 up until 10.10 and watched it get more and more mainstreamed (such as online storage services and a digital music store run by Canonical), now it's like Windows with some quirks to it.  That's not what I wanted in my Linux at all.


As for Steven's suggestion, I'll try that, last night I was having issues with root permissions though.
