Re: Beowulf at SIUC?

I'll follow up on this. It's a possibility with me that I could
help set it up with the PC's in place at the Math department. It
hadn't occurred to me that various departments might have extras.
It brings up the interesting possibility of having clusters of
computers at different locations, which could then be networked:
A multi-bodied Beowulf! I'll read up to see how this could be
feasible. I would donate my time in getting this started. Some
CS grad students are having a meeting Thursday afternoon to discuss
potential projects such as this. Also, a couple of CS professors
apparently are interested in seeing a cluster set up.
