Hmm, it does look like the driver for the parallel port is not there.
Unfortunately I have not run into the problem so I am not aware of how to
fix it. You might check up on insmod and using it to load the driver, but
something tells me it too is not the fix.

That is a good start. If push comes to shove and you dont get an answer
from anyone else on the list, drop on by the Nashville Linux Users group
list, post the info you have posted. I know several people on that list
are quite aware of what the problem is and how to fix it. Please beware,
we tend to generate mucho traffic. www.nlug.org I would do a subject
line of Parallel port problem in RH6.1... that might get some peoples
attention (like I said, we can generate some traffic). And one other
thing... like silug we post the unsubscribe info at the bottom of every
post. I cannot tell you the joy we get when someone posts an unsubscribe
to the list (gotta love majordumbo). Just wanted to give you a heads up
should you decided to subscribe for the purposes of fixing the problem and
then unsubscribing. In one day we can generate double the volume of silug
for a month. :)

Sincerely,

Sean...
