Waiting for window

I have a javascript running waiting (in a loop checking the page) for a
second page to load. When the page loads the script will use the data in
the page to verify user supplied data. When running with Navigator 4.7
the page will never load or at least Navigator 4.7 can't detect it.
Outside of the script the page loads fine. This all works fine in
Internet Explorer. Wat's the problem?
