RAM question

Does EDO RAM work in machines without EDO support (as in, simply doesn't
use the feature?)... Same type question with 60ns RAM... is it a *bad*
thing to mix different speeds? (other than the fact that it will run at the
slower of the two speeds)?

Basically, I've got a machine with 4 SIMM sockets (2 banks) with 2 banks
filled with non-EDO 70ns RAM... 60ns EDO ram is the cheapest (saw 16MB 60ns
EDO 72-pin SIMM for $29.95 each with lifetime warranty +S&H&T as apposed to
$56 for 16MB 70ns non-EDO)
