We had a long talk about this at the last meeting.

IMHO, the CentOS Stream thing should be a non-event for most people.
People who are current CentOS users should be able to switch over to the
CentOS Stream repos without noticing a difference.

The primary problem here was messaging.  The change was *very* poorly
communicated and set off a lot of unnecessary panic.

For the few people that really need strict RHEL compatibility (for
building/testing software targeted for RHEL, for example, which happens
to be my primary problem), there is a rumor that Red Hat is going to
make RHEL more readily available.  Otherwise, by the time it's a
problem, Rocky Linux and CloudLinux should be available, and Oracle
Linux is technically an option.
