SELinux problems upgrading Fedora to next release
Starting with F29 > F30, Fedora has supported major version upgrades.
When I upgraded from F29 to f30-Beta, I encountered a large quantity of
SELinux permission problems. I had to re-set the SELinux contexts
throughout the entire root filesystem.
I didn't have near as much trouble upgrading from F30 to F31, but that
doesn't mean there weren't a few SELinux context problems lurking
about. My problems with the eth0 port not working is a prime example.
In that case running 'journalctl -fa' and examining the output found
one critical access permissions problem.
For now it seems, upgrading major Fedora versions will require SELinux
bandaids.
