pod rebuild

At the end of my rope putting up with pod's ssh behavior. Saved off key
local customization files along with a trimmed list of all installed
RPMs. Exported the zfs pool for later import -- equiv to putting it into
unmounted hibernation. Uneventful from-scratch install of CentOS 6.5, as
was 'zpool import pod'.

Best of all -- TADA! -- I can now ssh directly into pod.
