Hello to all, again, I'm currently looking into building a new desktop sometime in the next 2 or 3 months, now from my experience with my old one a few things, since I'm in college and my desktop isn't quite stationary I've taken a fondness to the more rugged build of 2.5" laptop drives (I've killed 3 3.5" while transporting in tower but never external 3.5") and an appreciation for smaller towers. Also I'm not planning to do a whole lot requiring heavy graphics in Linux or needing massive CPU power so I'm opting for the new FM2 set up, I plan on going for the 5800k quad core but I want to use mini-ITX mobo of which I can only find two options on Newegg and only one has the A85X chipset. My main question is I can't find any real information on how well the APU's play with Linux, and as there is only one board I can find that I like (ASRock FM2A85X-ITX) but there seems to be no real information on how well it works with Linux, I can assume basic function which is fine as I don't do anything heavy in Linux but would prefer it be working well as opposed to some compatibility mode so I can actually make use of the systems specs.
Regards,
Austin R. Range
