Re: Linux Foundation releases UEFI secure pre-boot loader

interesting so with this you basically boot out of secure boot  for the rest of the boot process of linux, if im reading this correctly. i wonder how long this will take till its taken advantage of ..

i still dislike and distrust this push to have everything boot trusted .... you cant see the source code on windows there is nothing to trust.

honestly its just a push to block competition and move to full signing of executable files  more control over what there users can do with there computer DRM to a whole new level.. what are they really trying to obtain ....  ( one store to sell all/only windows software where everything is checked and signed and everyone has to pay microsoft's fee's to sale there software games or apps )

This is supposed to work for all Linux distributions on any
Win8-compatible UEFI systems. It will be interesting to see if Fedora
and other major distributions adopt it.

Like all other processes involving digital signatures, this will be very
unforgiving of simple coding or spelling errors. It will either work or
it won't.
