I just installed this on my Fedora 16 laptop and I have to say,
Wow....what a difference!!! I tried cinnamon a while back and it
was just ok to me. This is like having Gnome 2 all over again. :)

MATE is GNOME2.x reborn, and it's available for Fedora, Debian, Ubuntu,
Mint, and ArchLinux at http://mate-desktop.org/install/. I just
installed it to my Fedora 17 lapto and logged off/on.
