Re: Fedora KVM server

I am going to do the same thing on my laptop once it arrives. How are you planning to implement the virtual machines? As .img files on the hard drive, or on a dedicated partition?  You'll have much better performance on a dedicated partition.  If you choose to use LVM for the dedicated partition, make sure you don't format the partition when you create it in system-config-lvm or else KVM won't be able to use it.

Good afternoon folks,

I am getting ready to stand up a Fedora KVM in home virtual host and wanted to know if anyone has any tips or gotcha's I should be aware of. I was going to use either Xenserver or ESXi but decided against it due to a few different reasons so any tips would be great.

Thanks
