What's nice about the gPC is that you can do quite a bit WITH the
computer without having to do anything TO it. I purchased one and I
have found it quite nice. Here are some of the things I've done with it:
- connect to a network with ethernet
- surf the web with FireFox
- send an e-mail with Gmail
- play a video on YouTube
- write a document with OpenOffice.org Writer
- play a DVD (DreamWorks SKG's Madagascar)
- adjust the layout of the desktop
Make no mistake, it's not a gaming machine. But it does do what it was
advertised to do and at what I would consider a competitive price point.
BTW, it runs a standard Ubuntu Gutsy, Debian Etch, and Windows XP just
fine, too.
Regards,
- Robert
