Re: Wednesday's meeting

I'm coming, but Steve's last announcement said it was
at the ComputerRoom. Is that correct Steve?

My Presario (or as Bob at Meadowbrook called it, the
"Oh So Sorryo") has a lot of ACPI problems. Sometimes
I had to turn ACPI off inititally, and then manually
compile a kernel with ACPI ON, APM OFF and APIC OFF. I
didn't need to do it with all kernels, so it just
depended on how the distro kernel was setup. FreeBSD
ran fine on my Presario and Frequency Scaling worked
fine (which is important or the thing is a HOT
TOASTER). This was FreeBSD 5.X, not 6, but I think it
would still work.
