Hello all, I
need to pick some professional brains!
After configuring a Linux distro to be “just
right” on an existing box, how would one take the existing
kernel/configuration, and make a bootable ISO image so as to not require a hard
disk? I have seen some distro’s such as knoppix that have multiple platform
functionality in terms of hardware, which in my case is not required. I don’t need a large number of
loadable modules or anything such as this as the hardware support needed by the
kernel will be the same for all of the systems I would use this setup on. I was simply wondering what is required
to get a functioning Linux distro on a CD without a
need for a hard disk swap file, etc. Thanks in advance! Brandon |
