You're going to *screw*up* your x86-64 install.
It's very, very important that the /lib and /lib64 support be 
maintained.
*Only* the *official* x86-64 APT-RPM version from Fedora Extras for 
Fedora Core 3 will keep you from screwing up the /lib v. /lib64 balance.
The new FC3 APT-RPM has also been updated to support a number of changes 
in RPM that have occurred with FC3.

Fedora Extras for Fedora Core 3 is now hosted at fedora.redhat.com.
Red Hat is putting a lot more "pro-active" work into Fedora Extras now.
*Always* grab the *new* APT-RPM for FC3 from fedora.redhat.com.
