Re: NFS woes
I'm 1,800 miles away from you.
But I have been using Linux as a production NFS server pushing TBs/day since 1999.
Network filesystems are always tricky to setup securely,
and most distros don't let you setup NFS unless you know what you are doing.
So instead of complaining how Linux doesn't let you export your files to the world by default like Windows,
I thin you're on the right track by bringing your boxes to a meeting.

i can ping my own computer and hers, and from the other computer. but
it says when i try to connect to the other computer (client side to
server) that the NFS server is down.
