You need to use CL3.2 (Fedora Core 1)
to match EL3.
Don't use CL4.0 (Fedora Core 2) or CL4.1 (Fedora Core 3)
unless you are planning for EL4.

Also be wary of newer packages for CL3.2 that haven't made it into EL3.
This is rare now that CL3.2 has been tagged "Legacy,"
but it's always good to check.

It's up to you if you want to run something like CentOS instead,
but Fedora exists to avoid the trademark headaches, and be 100% freely redistributable.

A friend is starting a new project and needs to setup a local test 
environment. The project will use a 'hosted' RHE machine (one of the bigger 
server farms). Would anyone see any issues with a Fedora test platform & a 
production RHE 3?
