I usually roll my own systems, and I'm not a big fan of Compaq to begin
with, but this is an outstanding deal. This thing is fast, quiet, and
very cool (33C idle). And, for $444 after rebates, you just can't beat
the price. There were fifty left at the O'Fallon (IL) store when I got
one for my sister at 1:00 PM CDT today. She's going to be running XP
only on the machine, so I haven't explored the issue of converting it
into a Linux or dual-boot box.
