Good tutorial on EMACS

Hi:

 I wondered if anyone knew of a good intermediate to advanced tutorial on
EMACS. I need to know how to strip whitespace and do regex search and
replace in EMACS. Can anyone suggest a tutorial?  Has anyone used Eric
Raymond's book on EMACS, by O'Reilly, and did you think it was good?
