Having said that, the new version (5.0, released in December)
apparently doesn't work with Perl when it is built with threads
enabled.  Their recommended installation instructions are fairly
insane...  (Install everything from rpms with "--nodeps".  That will
guarantee that apt won't work from that point on.)

It's really frustrating to be a Perl bigot these days...  Interesting
software keeps breaking due to new Perl things (like the new threading
model, or mod_perl 1.99), and I'm not sure who is to blame (or how to
fix any of it).
