Question about networking...
After monkeying with my networking settings a little I have
inadvertently altered something in the boot process. Now when it gets to
bringing up eth0 it takes a very long time and then reports something
that I have never seen it report before:
Bringing Up eth0 *long pause* zcip[987]: Retrieving address
127.255.255.255 for eth0:9
*pause*
zcip[987]: sending probe 1 for 127.255.255.255
*pause*
zcip[987]: sending probe 3 for 127.255.255.255
*pause*
zcip[987]: claiming ownership of address 127.255.255.255
zcip[988]: watching for collisions
[ OK ]

All of the lines with the "zcip" on it are all new. Can someone explain
what is going on? It really slows down my boot up. Any suggestions for
speeding things back up?
Another odd thing is that when I do ifconfig, I get the following two
entries. What is eth0:9??? I used to get this same thing when I was
struggling to get my wireless card working, ath0 and ath0:9.
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:08:02:B9:75:1B

Thanks ahead of time,
Ken
