Question about iPod compatibility and Ogg Vorbis

I have started using GRIP to encode my music library into ogg-vorbis. I
have been wanting to do this for a while because it is my understanding
that ogg-vorbis is better than MP3 on several levels. Anyway, I have
been considering getting an iPod in the future and I was wondering if
anyone knew if they could handle ogg-vorbis or if that was in the works
or what. 

Also, if anyone has any suggestions about storing music in Linux, like
don't use ogg-vorbis or don't use GRIP, I am all ears.
