Oh, yeah. That's the good stuff. Nothing like Linux From Scratch NG, aka Gentoo.

I don't think Joe Surfer or Amy Broadband will ever "feel the love" or appreciate 
the sublime pleasure from watching their very own copy of
free-to-do-as-you-please       
source code compile away for a day or two.

Gentoo: It's the kind of "hand job" only a geek could love.
