Re: Wee cables anyone?
Well, I have a good recommendation for a title that won't be published
until later this year, but...
Just about any current title (except the ones from Coriolis) on the market
is a good base, I think. The problem is that a year ago we began the
update process of the Level 1 exams, which included updating and
reorganizing the objectives to better meet the needs of studying
preparation, learning path, and of course training materials. While
on-line resources have been reportedly updated (such as IBM and Caldera's
materials) the print resources have not. That said, if you use the
objectives as your guide, use the study guides in the order of the
objectives, you should be able to supplement your studies either with
practice, HOWTOs, man pages, or other documentation easily.
Late this summer O'Reilly will be releasing an updated LPI in a Nutshell
for the new exams, with a new 2nd half addition to the book to address
Level 2.
Probably not the answer you were hoping for, but hopefully still helpful.
