Steve and I view upgrades from different perspectives. He's a bit more
aggressive than I am and likes using apt which, with certain
assumptions, can successfully upgrade any given system maybe 99% of the
time. I'm more conservative and rely on Red Hat's upgrade methods rather
than apt. Red Hat's methods are rigorously tested to allow you to
successfully upgrade dozens of dissimilar systems at least 99% of the
time.
Betas are betas. Their stuff is "expected" to work, but nothing is
"guaranteed." As Harry Truman said, "If you can't stand the heat, stay
out of the kitchen" and stick to production releases.

On this we agree 100%.
Also, as a <very minor) stockholder I encourage anyone using Red Hat
Linux in a commercial for-profit environment to purchase at least one
boxed set. And annual RHN support subscriptions.
