Great BASH tip! (fwd)




Thanks to LUCI's Mark Blunier for this one!

In a BASH shell, hit ^r and start typing a command that should be in your 
history.  It behaves as a shortcut to searching through your history (as 
though you've "set -o vi" and "esc /command" to search). Hitting ^r again 
will go to the next instance of "command", as though using "n" in the vi 
mode.

Very cool trick.  This will probably save me about 100 keystrokes a day 
:-)
