Can anyone tell me why...
most of OS's still have an executable stack? From windows to linux to
solaris, most of the OS's out there still haven't fixed this little bug.
I know that there is a patch for linux, and there is going to be a patch
included in an MU for solaris 9 in the near future. This would be nice
to have to fix some rather low level bugs in the OS, buffer overflows,
memory races, etc. And why hasn't something like this been incorporated
into the kernel as an option? Can someone shed light on this?
