I'm a little evercrack hung over (played to long last night), but the
first thing to come to my mind was how the firewall was handling
incoming connections, are you nating (masquerading) while keeping state
of your outgoing connections to let them back in, if this doesn't make
any sense sorry, I need a cat nap

i went to www.portsdb.org and took a look there. rsync is 873
tcp
and udp, but i am a little hungover who i don't know if both need to be
open in a control/data pair. laters.
