You would probably be better off trying that with imagemagic, I seem to
recall that you can do lots of interesting things from the command line
with imagemagic (like animation), but I think the gimp would require you
to open every picture up and then resize one at a time, good luck, sorry

Is there any way to tell Gimp (or some other program) to go through a

and resize all of these pictures to 640x480. (Yes, I'd make copies
first, of
course!) 8-)
I want to make a web page of the pics, but don't want the death threats
that go
along with such big pics.
