i set the folder to at least 644 permissions for each folder down until the
folder that was supposed to be the root for the virtual host
index.html file was also set 644
i think its with my apache directives (im not in a position to try out the
directives that you guys sent to me just yet)
ill have some time to work on it tonight

If you are getting forbidden then you probably have the permissions
wrong on the directory or the files you are trying to access. Make
sure everyone has read permissions to them.
