Re: New Computer for Linux OS

I would eventually like to take the building of a system a step further.
I'd love to find a distro that installs a kernel, networking utils,
binutils, gcc, and maybe vi and some other utilities, and that's it.  I
usually un-RPM any system I ever install, so it doesn't make sense to me
to even start with all of the apps installed from scratch.  Source rules.
But, RPM is a necessary evil.  That is to say that sometimes it is
necessary, and it is always evil :D
