It was a nightmare for me, when I went from a PII to an Athlon 1gig on
an Asus mobo.. Very few people realize that unlike W9x, W2k will not
recognize any new hardware, and that is when it gets tricky, as you
cannot get into the system to make the changes. Only done by backdoor
approach.. I have installed W2K and W98SE on my wife's machine, and it
took longer to install than any distro I have ever used.
